The event forms part of the last of the 3 major gender-sensitive science learning phases in the project.
The SCIENCEGIRLS SCIENCE VISION ENCOUNTER was organized by the Catalan partner and it represented a learning experience for life for all 74 participants. The Encounter allowed 60 teenage girls from 6 very different countries fully engage in challenging activities during the 5 days together, inspiring each other and contributing considerably to the project outcomes. The teams of girls co-created scenarios of new ways of science learning in school aimed to appear attractive and relevant to teenage girls and their emerging gender identities.
The Encounter was placed at a strategically very important moment in the project: bridging from the long engagement phases to the production of the project’s final outcomes, and offering the girls’ teams a privileged opportunity to co-create those outcomes.
